Here are a few thoughts I have about Fusion (High school) last night:
- Being high tech is really great...lots of cool stuff to engage with for students. BUT when some of this tech stuff gets a little hairy...it can really get frustrating.
- I am excited about summer. Not just because it is cold and I am sick of it...but because we got a small glimpse of summer last night. Since there was no school today a bunch of the high schoolers met up at Apple Bees which is where many of the volunteers go as well. It was fun and I loved it!
- This is a whole new ball game for me. The church I served at before coming here (Ovid Community Church...Hello Ovid people!!!!) was smaller than Windsor. Now, the reason this makes it a new ball game for me is because I am teaching this entire month. I taught nearly every week at Ovid, but it was very different. It felt more like a conversation than anything. The way I teach has to be more of a sermon than a conversation because of the size. It is definitely an adjustment.
- I need to shave every Wednesday and Sunday. That mic pulling the hair off my face was killing me. It totally kept making me forget what I was saying! How annoying!
- Without our volunteers we would be dead. It is always always always amazing to sit back and watch them do their thing! I love it!
- Next week we will do the Reds/Cardinals hat ceremony. I guess the Daytona 500 got in the way. Who knows...ask Casey.
I think that is it.
